The Goal:

Redesign our active sourcing tool from the ground up—a complex product with extensive talent data, numerous functionalities, and a highly diverse user base spanning different ages and levels of digital literacy.

What began as a visionary “playground concept” quickly shifted into a full, practical redesign of the existing tool as business priorities evolved. This required balancing long-term innovation with short-term feasibility, refining workflows, and simplifying a system that had grown increasingly complicated over time.

The Challenge: 

The tool had to handle large volumes of talent data in highly inconsistent states, making clarity and structure essential. The user base was equally diverse, ranging from highly tech-savvy recruiters to users with very limited digital literacy. On top of that, shifting team compositions created evolving requirements and priorities throughout the project.
